Our Mission
Operation Breakthrough's mission is to promote individual and family self-sufficiency, through advocacy, referrals and directly providing comprehensive high quality services to low-income families and individuals within Durham County. We are committed to uniting with other resources, whenever possible, to assist families in achieving a status of self-sufficiency.
Organizationally, we are committed to a work place philosophy that embraces continuing education and safety, as well as social and economic development. We are committed in assisting with the professional development of staff.
We believe that we have an obligation to provide leadership by example to our community and clients. We commit to involving and incorporating community interest and input from the low-income, private and public sectors in our decision making.
